Simon Coombs has added an important new service for clients and is now qualified as a Commercial Energy Assessor – adding to his existing Domestic Energy Assessor status.
When a commercial building is constructed, sold or let it requires an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which shows prospective owners or tenants the current energy performance of the building and the potential for improvement if energy efficiency measures are implemented.
This follows on from similar requirements for domestic properties included as a main component within the Home Information Pack (Hip) and over the past 2 years Simon has produced in excess of 1,000 EPCs!
Commercial properties over 50sq.m must have an EPC in place before they are marketed and sellers/owners could otherwise face heavy fines.
